DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Organizational Leadership:
Advancing the station's mission and strategic vision across all operations.
Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor department managers and staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Financial Management:
Managing the station's budget, fundraising strategies, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Responsible for sales, collections, and billing.
Programming Oversight:
Ensuring excellent programming across multiple platforms and maintaining a high-quality listening experience.
Community Engagement:
Leading and supporting a team of staff and volunteers to foster civic engagement and cultural connection.
Policy Enforcement:
Enforcing and communicating station policies and procedures across staff, broadcasters, and volunteers.
Compliance:
Ensure adherence to FCC rules, local/state/federal regulations, and station policies.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
Typically 5-7+ years in station management or a related leadership role.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in business, communications, or a related field; master's preferred.
Leadership:
Strong leadership abilities to guide and motivate a team.
Financial Acumen:
Experience in managing budgets, financial planning, and fundraising strategies.
Communication Skills:
Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills to build relationships with staff, advertisers, and the community.
Technical Knowledge:
Familiarity with radio automation systems, audience analytics tools, and compliance with broadcasting regulations.
Programming and Operations:
Experience in programming, content creation, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Pay:
$49,000.00 - $78,000.00 per year
