Vice President of Towing Operations Flagship Management - 4.3 Seattle, WA Job Details Full-time $200,000 - $275,000 a year 1 day ago Benefits Relocation assistance Qualifications Strategic management Operations management Bachelor's degree Master of Business Administration Senior leadership Full Job Description Vice President, Marine Operations Flagship Management is partnering with a leading maritime operator to recruit a Vice President of Marine Operations to lead harbor ship assist, escort tug, and related marine service operations across multiple port locations. This executive leadership role will oversee operational performance, safety, regulatory compliance, workforce development, and financial execution across a complex marine transportation platform. The successful candidate will be a visible operational leader capable of driving performance, leading large unionized teams, and executing strategic initiatives in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment. Key Responsibilities Provide executive leadership for multi-port harbor assist and marine operations, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient execution across all fleets and facilities Drive a strong culture of safety, environmental stewardship, operational discipline, and continuous improvement throughout the organization Lead operational performance initiatives focused on vessel readiness, service reliability, process optimization, and customer satisfaction Oversee marine operations P&L, operating budgets, capital planning, forecasting, and cost management initiatives Partner with HSQE leadership to ensure full compliance with regulatory, environmental, and safety requirements Lead, mentor, and develop senior operational leaders, vessel officers, and shoreside management teams Manage labor relations strategy, including union engagement, collective bargaining support, and workforce planning Translate corporate strategy into executable operational plans that improve efficiency, profitability, and long-term growth Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, regulators, vendors, and industry stakeholders Represent the organization at industry forums, customer meetings, and external maritime engagements Ideal Profile 10+ years of progressive maritime operations leadership experience within towing, harbor assist, marine transportation, or related vessel operations environments Strong operational and commercial leadership background with demonstrated P&L responsibility in asset-intensive operations Deep understanding of U.S. maritime regulatory requirements, vessel operations, and marine safety management systems Proven experience leading large, geographically dispersed, and unionized workforces Track record of driving operational improvement, organizational performance, and strategic growth initiatives Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate effectively across executive leadership, customers, labor groups, and frontline operations Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced business education preferred #executive #operations
