Job Description
Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Leave Administrator for a healthcare client of ours in Berkeley, CA. We're seeking a seasoned Leave of Absence Specialist to join our HR operations team on a 3 month contract. This role support employees within a network of 16 healthcare and residential facilities across the East Bay Area, with onsite visits 1-2 days per week. You'll manage a high-volume caseload of employee leaves and workers' comp claims, ensuring compliance, empathy, and precision every step of the way. Responsibilities

- Manage ~50 active leave cases (also need experience managing workers comp. cases in case a peer is out sick/out.)
- Guide employees through leave processes and vendor coordination (UNUM/TotalLeaves)
- Administer ADA accommodations and ensure compliance
- Handle benefit premium calculations and payroll coordination
- Complete and submit workers' comp forms to third-party vendors
- Maintain accurate documentation and case tracking
- Support ergonomic assessments and vendor recommendations
- Collaborate with HR, payroll, and procurement teams
- Provide onsite support across East Bay facilities (Berkeley, Oakland, etc.

- Strong knowledge of ADA and reasonable accommodations
- Proficiency in Excel and HRIS systems (Paycom preferred)
- Familiarity with ergonomic assessments and vendor coordination
- Exceptional patience, empathy, and communication skills
- Local to East Bay Area and available for onsite visits
- Experience with UNUM and TotalLeaves case management systems
- Background in healthcare or residential care environments
