Contracts and Grants Supervisor University of California - Los Angeles Health United States, California, Los Angeles Jun 10, 2026 Description The Department of Medicine is seeking a Contracts and Grants Supervisor to lead a high-performing research administration team supporting a diverse portfolio of sponsored research programs. This position provides direct oversight of pre-award and post-award activities for intramurally and extramurally funded awards, ensuring the effective management of proposals, contracts, grants, financial reporting, compliance, and award administration. Working closely with Principal Investigators (PIs), faculty, and departmental leadership, the incumbent serves as a trusted advisor and resource on sponsored project administration, helping advance the Department's research mission through exceptional service, operational excellence, and strategic partnership. Reporting to the Department Chair, Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and other Department leaders, the Contracts and Grants Supervisor will supervise and mentor research administration staff while overseeing complex funding portfolios and resolving escalated issues. This role offers the opportunity to drive process improvements, strengthen compliance and fiscal stewardship, and play a critical role in supporting innovative research initiatives that contribute to scientific discovery and improved patient care.
Annual range:
$95,400.00-$208,300.00
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training. 5+ years of experience in Research Administration. Proven experience as an effective team leader and supervisor, guiding team members to success. Expanded knowledge of financial and accounting concepts, including interpreting financial statements. Strengthened interpersonal skills for effective communication and relationship building. Enhanced ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and comply with policies and regulations. Improved analytical skills to analyze financial data and propose solutions. Heightened attention to detail in managing complex administrative and financial tasks. Advanced proficiency with Adobe and Microsoft suite software
