POSITION SUMMARY
Leads a multi-disciplinary, customer-focused business team, including Program Management, Contract Administration, and Customer Service, to accomplish program objectives through coordinated division efforts. A management-level position at a manufacturing site within the largest division of the company's Aerospace, with high sales volume and multiple or complex product lines.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Leads project teams responsible for overseeing a set of complex government contracts related to assigned customers, market segments, product lines/programs, systems contracts, or key strategic contracts to ensure consistent approaches and alignment. Defines projects and specific outcome measures for a cross-functional team identified with a major business program(s). Establishes and implements tactical and operational plans to achieve division objectives Serves as a liaison for the customer-to-company interface on program performance. Frequent contact with customers and across internal departments concerning program and proposal efforts. Cross-functional responsibility for various specialty disciplines that may or may not include manufacturing areas. Acts as the business area advisor to site staff concerning program performance and contractual obligations. Provides business team direction in developing priorities across multiple projects. Has primary responsibility for program status reporting to identify and resolve potential problems and ensure contract and schedule commitments are met. Will direct the development of major proposals and contracts and participate in negotiations with an impact on sales volume and earnings. Federal regulations and contract clauses, including FAR/DFARS and agency/customer-specific requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
A bachelor's Degree (BA) in engineering, business administration, program management, or a similar discipline is required. Knowledge of business development, manufacturing operations, and program management functions that would typically be obtained through a bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline, and eight (8) or more years of progressive experience within that specialty. An advanced degree or a professional designation (e.g., Professional Project Management) is desired. Relevant Aerospace & Defense industry experience and knowledge of

Demonstrated ability to perform the described role and responsibilities and obtain the desired results. Four or more years of team and project leadership experience requiring advanced planning and organizational skills. Demonstrated leadership of multiple projects of varying complexity and scope. Demonstrated use of business concepts and accounting principles associated with project cost and budgetary planning/control. Thorough understanding of relationships between basic product, program, and operational information related to contracting. Solid understanding of estimation methods, critical path analysis, and earned value techniques. Proficient in program management concepts, tools, techniques, and risk management. Strong negotiation skills. Experience with contractual principles and ability to identify high-risk contract terms. Ability to quickly identify and address critical issues on programs and contracts and lead the team to develop action plans to improve performance. Thorough knowledge of and background in controlling development and/or mature programs. Thorough understanding of business and financial plans and controls, contractual terms, and regulatory requirements. Demonstrated teamwork and team-building skills in producing results and meeting organizational objectives. Capable of assessing and developing individual team skills and capabilities. Able to create and maintain enthusiasm for new and challenging goals. Serves as a role model by promoting new ideas and positive change. Effective presentation, interpersonal skills, and demonstrated ability. Demonstrated ability to create strong partnerships with customers. Able to lead process improvements; able to lead training and rollout efforts to institutionalize process improvements. Ability to communicate effectively and present status, actions, recommendations, and other technical information with clarity and precision. Able to respond to significant inquiries from customers, regulatory agencies, or other teams. Able to influence business decisions and negotiate resource allocation. Effectively uses current information technology, systems, and business applications related to contracting and customer/supplier interface; is proficient with standard software (e.g., Microsoft Office, SAP), project management, and database analysis tools.

$120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
