Job DescriptionJob Description Construction Accounting with Contract Administration We are seeking a career-minded individual to join our team at a medium-sized construction firm located in San Luis Obispo. We are looking for a self-starter who is well organized and gets along with all types of personalities. We offer a fast-paced fun filled environment with opportunities for growth. This is a full-time position. Compensation will vary depending upon experience.

Essential Functions:
Accounts Receivable- Generate and send invoices/pay applications based on work completed and billing schedules.
- Track incoming payments and follow up on overdue accounts
- Maintain accurate records of all accounts receivable transactions
- Work with project managers and clients to ensure accurate billing
- Ensure compliance with construction billing processes, including lien waivers and retention
- Manage contract documentation and maintain organized records Accounts Payable
- Invoice processing, including matching invoices with purchase orders and verify cost codes.
- Ensue invoices are reviewed and approved by appropriate personnel
- Cost Allocation, expense
- Obtain conditional and unconditional lien releases from subcontractors
- Prepare and execute weekly check runs for subcontractors.
- Ensure all documentation is in order to prevent payment delays
- Communicate with subcontractors and owners to resolve payment discrepancies and past due payments.
- Certified Payroll Tracking maintenance to ensure vendors are in compliance and reports are turned in timely.
- Other duties as assigned. Contract Administration
- Data entry of budgets, contracts and change orders.
- Assisting Team with variety of tasks to ensure streamlined processes Qualifications
- 2+ years accounting experience, construction industry preferred.
- Software proficiency-proficient with Word, Excel, Adobe
- Ability to learn new software quickly
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
