Subcontracts Manager Trust Automation Trust Automation has over 35 years of experience in custom motors, linear drives, digital drives, and systems which meet the unique needs of its customers. Its product line includes motors, linear drives, digital drives, custom assemblies, and products to fit unique applications and ground-up system design and manufacturing solutions. We design, build and support control and power management systems for the most demanding defense, semiconductor, industrial automation, and medical applications. Job Summary The Subcontracts Manager will manage and oversee the full lifecycle of subcontracts from award through closeout, tracking key milestones, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure compliance Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) requirements, managing modifications, ensuring proper flow-down of terms and conditions, reviewing and validating subcontractor invoices and maintaining comprehensive contract documentation. This role will serve as the primary point of contact for subcontract management. This role has a strong understanding of government contracting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with legal counsel, finance, program management, and business development teams. This position will report to the VP of Contracts. Duties and Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Administer subcontracts from award through closeout, ensuring compliance with all

clauses and contractual requirements Review and analyze contract terms and conditions, identifying risks and required actions for compliance Coordinate with legal counsel to negotiate terms and conditions with subcontractors Track and monitor contract performance metrics including period of performance, funding status, billable milestones, deliverables, and key dates Maintain comprehensive contract files including original agreements, modifications, correspondence, invoice documentation, and deliverable submissions Prepare subcontract modifications and amendments as needed, coordinating approvals across internal teams Provide contract guidance and support to program managers, engineering teams, finance, and business operations Ensure proper flow-down of

clauses to subcontractors Monitor and report on subcontract status, providing regular updates to program leadership and executives Support proposal development efforts by providing contract structure guidance and past performance documentation Identify and escalate contractual issues or risks, working with leadership to develop mitigation strategies Assist in the development and implementation of contract management policies, procedures, and best practices Coordinate contract closeout activities including final deliverables, financial reconciliation, and administrative actions Position Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Government Contracting, or a related field 3-5+ years of experience in government contract administration, preferably in the aerospace or defense industry Experience managing various contract types including FFP, CPFF, T&M, and Cost-Reimbursable contracts Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to interact professionally with customers, legal counsel, and internal stakeholders Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Active security clearance or ability to obtain one U.S. Citizenship This position may be asked to drive for company purposes during the course of employment. If asked and agreed upon, employees must possess a valid California Driver's License and clean driving record. Preferred Qualifications Strong working knowledge of
FAR/DFARS
regulations and their application to government contracts NCMA certifications (CPCM, CFCM, CCCM, and CCMA) Knowledge of government property, data rights, and intellectual property provisions Experience with contract management software or ERP systems Physical Requirements Hearing and speaking to exchange information in person, on the telephone or virtually. Dexterity of hands, fingers, and wrist to operate a computer keyboard, calculator or assemble/manufacture intricate items. Seeing to read a variety of materials. Sitting or standing for extended period of time Physical agility to lift 20 pounds to shoulder height. Physical agility to lift, carry, push, or pull objects.
