Lockheed Martin Space is not just about satellites... the Strategic & Missile Defense business area offers growing opportunities to work programs focused on the protection of our nation and allies from a multitude of threats. This position holds procurement management and delegation responsibility for all applicable supplier agreements and contracts within the established authority. In this role, you will perform subcontract management duties in support of the program, including: Responsible for the overall management of supplier performance including cost, schedule, and technical through leadership and interaction with a cross-functional team. Interface with suppliers as the focal point between the subcontractor/supplier program management team, and end customer, effectively communicating supplier health to all levels of management Help develop subcontract specifications, statements of work and negotiate requirements and scope. Initiate and manage the acquisition process from pre-solicitation (including researching and evaluating procurement sources), through the proposal process and PO placement, through to management of supplier performance and closeout. Research and evaluate procurement sources and qualification This position does not support teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility one of the Coolest places to work: Denver, Colorado (opens in new window) (opens in new window) , and be expected to work in the office.
Basic Qualifications:
To be effective, you will need to possess these basic qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience/combined education, 3+ years of professional experience, Professional experience in Supply Chain Management (i.e… Procurement, Subcontract Administration, Subcontract Management, Negotiation, Program Management, and/or Category Management) You will need to be a US Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a
US SECRET
clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

No clearance is required to apply but an Interim clearance is needed prior to start.
Desired Skills:
To be effective, ideally, you should also have: Master's degree. Previous professional experience leading negotiations with suppliers to ensure cost and schedule objectives are captured in contractual commitments Previous professional experience with the procurement and management of specialized materials, complex assemblies, and equipment. Knowledge of standard acquisition policies and procedures Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and contracting types In-depth knowledge of all types of contracts and how to utilize which type in various program scenarios Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with an ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and changes in deadlines Experience with long-form subcontracts utilizing Lockheed Martin Acquisition Procedures (LMAP) Aerospace program negotiation skills and experience Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and work well under pressure Experienced presenter to Program Management and Customer representative Self Motived with a demonstrated sense of urgency and ownership, and accountability for tasks/assignments Self Motived with a demonstrated sense of urgency and ownership, and accountability for tasks/assignments Strong communication skills with the ability to interface with all levels of management Ability to be flexible and accept change Must be able to resolve complex problems in a fast-paced environment. Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $77,700 - $136,965. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
