Partnered with our Permit Expeditor, this role serves as a critical liaison between our sales, production, engineering partners, municipalities, and customers to help ensure projects move efficiently from contract to installation. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, communicates professionally, and thrives in a fast-paced construction environment where problem-solving and follow-through are essential. Key Responsibilities Manage permit applications, submissions, approvals, and related documentation for multiple municipalities and jurisdictions Coordinate directly with town building departments, zoning offices, wetlands agencies, and health departments Work closely with engineers, surveyors, and excavators to obtain required drawings, calculations, and supporting documents Track permit timelines, inspections, engineering requirements, and project status updates Review project scope to identify permitting, drywell, drainage, or engineering requirements prior to submission Assist in resolving permit delays, comments, revisions, and compliance issues Maintain organized digital records of permits, plans, approvals, correspondence, and municipal requirements Communicate permit status updates internally to sales, production, and management teams Provide professional and timely communication to customers regarding permitting timelines and expectations Stay current on changing municipal requirements, building codes, and regional permitting trends Help develop and improve internal permitting systems, workflows, and best practices Support high-priority or complex projects requiring coordination across multiple parties and jurisdictions Qualifications 3+ years of permitting, construction administration, project coordination, or related experience Strong understanding of residential construction, excavation, waterproofing, drainage, or structural repair projects preferred Experience working with municipal permitting departments and construction documentation Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, and construction documents Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously Proficiency with Microsoft Office, PDFs, CRM systems, and digital document management Self-motivated with strong follow-up and problem-solving abilities Preferred Experience Experience with Connecticut and/or Westchester County permitting processes Familiarity with drywell systems, drainage engineering, wetlands considerations, and structural repair permitting Prior experience in home improvement, foundation repair, waterproofing, or specialty contracting industries Experience coordinating with engineers and third-party consultants What We Offer Competitive compensation Health benefits Paid time off 401(k) Growth opportunities within an industry-leading company Collaborative team environment Opportunity to play a key role in complex and meaningful construction projects About Connecticut Basement Systems Connecticut Basement Systems is the region's leader in basement waterproofing, foundation repair, crawl space encapsulation, concrete lifting, energy savings and basement finishing solutions.
