Healthcare Payer Dispute Attorney — Contract or Associate (Miami / Remote-Flexible) Aegis Legal Group Miami, FL Job Details Full-time | Contract $100 - $175 an hour 14 hours ago Qualifications Law Medicare Medical law Managed care Bar Full Job Description Healthcare Payer Dispute Attorney — Contract or Associate (Miami / Remote-Flexible) Aegis Legal Group, P.A. is building a provider-side healthcare payer dispute practice — pursuing underpayments and defending recoupments for physician practices, specialty groups, and hospital systems against commercial payers and government programs. We're looking for an experienced reimbursement attorney to grow it with us.
This role does three things:
→ Sits in the room when we pitch hospital CEOs and CFOs, bringing the substantive credibility that closes engagements → Guides the practice — strategy, workflows, and the firm's playbook across IDR, arbitration, and litigation → Carries the work — demands, appeals, arbitration submissions, and motions through resolution You likely have: Active Florida Bar membership in good standing 5+ years in healthcare reimbursement, managed care, or payer disputes (provider-side a plus) Real command of ERISA §502, the No Surprises Act / federal IDR, Medicare/Medicaid appeals, and Florida prompt-pay law Litigation and/or
AAA/JAMS
arbitration experience A polished, executive-facing presence Flexible structure — contract (Of Counsel) or W-2 associate — with origination participation for business you help bring in. Miami-based, mostly remote, with in-person availability for select client meetings. Interested?
