Your Role in Action - Key Responsibilities We're looking for a driven, experienced US-based Proposal Manager to take the lead on our growing portfolio of government tenders across the United States. This is a high-impact, high-autonomy role — perfect for a confident proposal professional who thrives on ownership and is ready to step up, make their mark, and grow alongside an ambitious business. You'll be at the heart of our success, spotting exciting new public-sector opportunities, leading end-to-end proposal delivery, and creating high-quality, compliant, and compelling bids that win. While you'll have the freedom to manage your day-to-day work independently, you'll also be supported by a collaborative and experienced UK-based bid team — giving you the best of both worlds: ownership and teamwork. Opportunity Identification & Pipeline Management Stay one step ahead by uncovering and tracking exciting US public sector opportunities across federal, state, and local portals. Spot the winners — assess opportunities using clear criteria, strategic fit, bid/no-bid criteria, and win themes to decide where to focus. Keep the future in view by building and managing a strong, forward-looking pipeline of bids and renewals. Proposal & Tender Management Lead the end-to-end proposal lifecycle, from opportunity qualification to submission. Act as proposal manager, owning proposal plans, timelines, and compliance matrices, internal and external inputs, and reviews, approvals, and final submission readiness. Keep everything on track with a sharp focus on strict compliance with RFP, RFQ, ITT, and IFB requirements, risk management, and key dependencies. High-Quality Content Development Bring proposals to life by crafting clear, compelling, and customer-focused responses that stand out. Tell a winning story — highlighting value propositions, differentiators, win themes and key strengths in line with evaluation criteria. Utilize proven bid methodologies such as Shipley and/or APMP best practice, including, solutioning and win strategy development, storyboarding and structured response planning, and Red Team / Gold Team style reviews (proportionate to bid size). Collaboration & Stakeholder Management Collaborate closely with internal subject matter experts, operations, finance, legal, and delivery teams, and UK-based bid and commercial support colleagues. Use proven methodologies (like Shipley/APMP) to shape strong solutions, plan content, and run effective review cycles. Coordinate partnerships with external collaborators to strengthen bid responses where needed. Continuous Improvement Help build something great by shaping and growing the US bid function as the business expands. Create smarter ways of working through contributing to bid libraries, reusable content, templates, win/loss feedback, and tools that make future bids even better. Support development of bidding discipline, governance, and best practice across regions. The Perfect Match:
Your Skills & Talents Proven experience delivering winning proposals for US government tenders. A strong understanding of public-sector procurement, across federal, state, and/or local levels. Confident in sourcing opportunities across multiple procurement portals and staying ahead of the pipeline. Consistently deliver high-quality, compliant proposals, even under tight deadlines. An exceptional writer, with a sharp eye for detail and a natural ability to craft clear, compelling narratives. Comfortable working autonomously, taking full ownership and accountability for outcomes. Familiar with industry best-practice methodologies such as Shipley and/or APMP. Hold an APMP certification (Foundation, Practitioner, or Professional) — or bring equivalent practical expertise. Experience collaborating with remote or international teams, building strong relationships across borders. Bring valuable insight from professional services, language services, or complex service environments. Highly organized and self-motivated, able to manage multiple priorities with ease. Commercially and strategically minded, always keeping the bigger picture in mind. A confident communicator, able to engage and influence senior stakeholders. Ability to balance attention to detail with a strong focus on the overall win strategy. Motivated by growth, ownership, and the opportunity to shape and build something meaningful.
