Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Contract Analyst to join our team and drive excellence in contract management processes. As a Contract Analyst you will examine and negotiate agreements to ensure accuracy, compliance, and risk mitigation for our organization. This role will analyze clauses, identify unfavorable terms, and ensure that contracts align with company service offerings and policies. In this role the Contract Analyst will manage the lifecycle of procurement agreements and contracts. Requirements to draft, negotiate, and monitor terms between companies and external vendors, ensuring compliance and mitigating financial risk. Strong writing skills including editing and reading, critical contract review to make recommendations that align with organizational needs to coordinate with clients and partners. The ability to write effectively is key, as this role works with important written documents. A Contract Analyst will be responsible for ensuring that agreements are compliant, commercially viable, and in the best interest of the employer. From reviewing contract terms and conditions to analyzing risk and negotiating contracts, the Contract Analyst will be considered the gatekeeper of governing an organization's contractual obligations.
Key Responsibilities Pre-Award:
Analyze procurement needs, draft Request for Proposals (RFPs), evaluate vendor bids, and conduct cost/price analysis.
Negotiation & Drafting:
Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions while coordinating with proper parties.
Post-Award Administration:
Monitor vendor compliance, process contract modifications, approve invoices, and handle contract closeouts.
Documentation :
Maintain comprehensive contract files, track renewal dates, and update procurement databases
Essential Requirements Knowledge:
Understanding of legal terminology, bidding processes, and compliance.
Skills:
Strong negotiation, critical thinking, data analysis, and communication skills. Core Responsibilities of a Contract Specialist Main tasks revolving around the entire contract lifecycle - from drafting, tracking and negotiating new agreements to administering and ensuring compliance with existing contracts.
Key duties include:
Reviewing solicitations, requests for proposals, bids, and preparing formal contract responses Drafting and negotiating contract language, terms, and conditions to protect the company's interests Analyzing contract requirements, provisions, costs, and legal/regulatory implications Serving as the primary point of contact between the organization and contractors/vendors Managing contract change processes and negotiating amendments when needed Monitoring contractor performance and compliance with contractual obligations Identifying risks and opportunities associated with contractual agreements Collaborating with legal, procurement, sales, and other teams on contracting activities
