ASI is seeking a Contracts Specialist. This position is eligible for work in our Jacksonville, FL or Lexington Park, MD office. The Contracts Specialist will report directly to the Senior Contracts Manager and will serve as a key member of the Contracts organization supporting a diverse portfolio of work across U.S. Government (DoD and Civilian), commercial, and state/local customers. Work may include Prime Contract, Subcontract, Purchase Order, Task Order, and Cooperative Agreement environments. This role supports both centralized and decentralized procurement and contracting activities, including pre-award, post-award, audit, and compliance functions. The Contracts Specialist will work closely with Business Development, Proposals, Accounting, Program Management, and Quality Assurance teams to ensure compliant, timely, and accurate contract execution. The position includes cross-functional training and increasing responsibility within a growing contracts organization, with the opportunity for professional development in federal acquisition and contract administration.
Responsibilities :
Support solicitation, evaluation, negotiation, award, and administration of contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders Assist with contract closeout and termination activities in accordance with applicable regulations and company procedures Perform price and cost analysis for firm-fixed-price and other contract types Participate as a member of acquisition and compliance review teams Execute contracting actions across pre-award and post-award lifecycle activities, ensuring compliance with applicable
FAR/DFARS
principles and internal policies Analyze market conditions, pricing data, contractor responsibility, and performance history to support source selection recommendations Draft contract documentation including memoranda, correspondence, reports, contract provisions, and supporting files Evaluate bids and proposals considering price, delivery, technical compliance, past performance, and financial responsibility Manage assigned workload with defined objectives, priorities, and deadlines while supporting ad hoc contractual requirements and audits
Required Qualifications:
5 years of professional experience in government contracting, procurement, or subcontract administration Bachelor's degree An additional 5 years of data analysis experience may be substituted for degree Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365, particularly Excel Strong understanding of contract administration principles and acquisition lifecycle processes Excellent organizational and analytical skills Demonstrated attention to detail Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to independently manage contracting actions and support concurrent priorities Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, deadline-driven environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience drafting and negotiating complex contractual instruments, including terms, conditions, and solicitation packages U.S. Government contracting experience (DoD preferred), including familiarity with
FAR/DFARS

Work Authorization/Security Clearance:

Pay:
