Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Contract Specialist to support contract development, administration, and compliance activities. This role works closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure contracts are accurate, compliant, and efficiently processed through the state contracting lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Compile, administer, and maintain contracts and related documentation Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to develop and refine contract language Review, verify, and analyze financial terms and compliance requirements within contracts Ensure adherence to state contracting processes, policies, and timelines Utilize standard operating procedures (SOPs) and tracking systems to manage contract workflow Provide responsive and professional customer service to stakeholders Perform additional duties as assigned Required Qualifications Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Demonstrated customer service experience Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) Experience with contract development, review, or oversight Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a structured environment Preferred Skills Experience working in government or public sector contracting Familiarity with compliance reviews and financial analysis Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and contractual language Core Competencies Contract Administration Compliance & Accuracy Stakeholder Collaboration Time Management Analytical Thinking At SSO, we invest in our people—supporting your health, financial security, and growth.
