Paralegal Certificate Full Job Description Duties/Responsibilities:
Complete the review of any changes to various company contracts and provide business feedback to decision maker Prepare contract briefs and revisions summarizing contractual requirements and budgets Implement contract standardization and digitization project Maintain detailed and organized files for each contract which will include original contract, all correspondence, changes/deviations, amendments, clarifications, payment schedules Provide contract summaries and ensure contract execution in accordance with company policy Explain terms and conditions to managers and interested parties Liaison with outside counsel on all appropriate items Ensure all deadlines and conditions described on contracts are met NDA;s (need to elaborate) This position is responsible for company Secretary duties, including keeping meeting minutes Maintain the administration of corporate records and tracking officers for the companies Act as Registered Agent for Subpoenas, Lawsuits, garnishments Complete the first level of Know your customer information requests (non-financial) Trademark renewals Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Proficient in MS Office Suite and with the ability to draft legal documents, correspondence, and reports from rough draft, dictation, or transcription at a level of at least 30 wpm. Keen attention to detail, with an ability to spot errors and changes Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities Professional demeanor and ability to work well in a team-oriented environment Committed to providing responsive client service. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to analyze tasks and outsource to legal counsel when appropriate Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Professional demeanor Ability to work with varying seniority levels, including staff, managers and external partners
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in legal studies or related field preferred. Paralegal certification. 3+ years legal and or compliance responsibility in financial services.
