Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to support commercial contracting activities for a communications-focused organization in Springfield, Virginia. This Long-term Contract position will lead the preparation, review, and negotiation of a wide range of business agreements while helping ensure strong contractual compliance and operational consistency. The ideal candidate brings sound judgment, strong drafting ability, and the confidence to work with internal stakeholders and external partners on complex contract matters. Responsibilities:
  • Lead the drafting, review, and revision of commercial agreements to align business terms with organizational objectives and risk standards.
  • Manage contract negotiations with customers, vendors, and partners, working to resolve issues efficiently and secure balanced outcomes.
  • Oversee the full contract lifecycle, from intake and document development through execution, renewals, amendments, and closeout activities.
  • Provide contract administration support by maintaining accurate records, tracking key dates, and ensuring documentation is complete and accessible.
  • Partner with legal, procurement, finance, and business teams to clarify requirements and support timely contract execution.
  • Identify contractual risks, interpret key terms and conditions, and recommend practical solutions to protect business interests.
  • Monitor agreement obligations and deliverables to help maintain compliance with internal policies and commercial commitments.
  • Support process improvement efforts related to contract management workflows, controls, and reporting practices.
