GOVERNMENT CONTRACT LIAISON

Compensation:

$20.00 per hour plus 2 to 4 percent Commission on Gross Revenue for harvested task orders

OVERVIEW

Builders Tech NM is a premier General Contractor holding a GB 98 license and a designated Job Order Contracting provider. We have already secured prestigious master agreements with state and local agencies. We are seeking a Tactical Liaison to manage these relationships, walk job sites, and grow our project volume. This role focuses on aggressive business development and turning dormant awarded agreements into active revenue.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Contract Harvesting:

Identify and re activate dormant state and local contracts. Meet with agency project managers to identify upcoming needs and secure new task orders.

JOC Fulfillment:

Utilize pre negotiated Job Order Contracting frameworks to explain our streamlined procurement and pricing models to procurement officers.

Field Representation:

Conduct high level meetings with municipal offices and school districts to serve as the face of the enterprise.

Site Scoping:

Walk potential job sites with clients to define preliminary scopes of work for construction and facility maintenance projects.

Compliance Coordination:

Work with our internal team to ensure all project specific bonds and insurance certificates are prepared for active task orders.

PERFORMANCE QUOTAS AND EXPECTATIONS

To ensure this position is a self funding asset, the following quotas will be enforced:

Agency Meetings:

Conduct a minimum of 5 face to face or high level virtual meetings with agency project managers per week.

Scope Generation:

Convert meetings into a minimum of 2 preliminary task order estimates or site walks per month.

Software Mastery:

The candidate must achieve full proficiency in navigating the Construction Task Catalog within the first 30 days of employment.

MANDATORY EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Cooperative Purchasing:

Experience with eGordian and OMNIA Partners is highly desired.

Public Sector Navigation:

Experience working with or selling to New Mexico municipal, county, or state government agencies.

Construction Literacy:

Must have enough background in commercial construction to walk a site and discuss technical solutions with a Project Manager.

Sales and Account Management:

Proven track record of maintaining long term client relationships and closing service based agreements.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

We are looking for a closer who is comfortable bypassing traditional bidding hurdles by educating clients on the speed and transparency of our existing procurement vehicles. You must be professional, authoritative, and capable of working independently to hunt for task orders.
