Serves as COCO for peer reviews. Responsible for all contracting activities of the Space Rapid Capabilities Office (SpRCO). Advises the director on all acquisition/business related matters and interfaces directly with ASAF(A) and SAF/ACQ for all regulatory contracting actions. Develops acquisition strategy and executes all phases of the contracting process in an environment of managed risks. Ensures multiple government services and agency requirements are satisfied. Special emphasis is placed on a streamlined program execution that accelerates delivery of operational capabilities to the field. Resumes need to be recieved by 23 June 2026 , Required Skills Responsible for planning, organizing, and directing contracting and other business management activities in a risk-tolerant environment for subordinates / self Serves as contracting authority for Space RCO acquisition programs and is directly responsible for providing expert advice and assistance to Director, Space RCO, head contracting activity and Director of contracting. Establishes and maintains an integrated team relationship dealing directly with the most senior levels of government and industry, provides support to assigned Program Managers Manages and executes contracts, as an unlimited warranted contracting officer, that include a variety of contracting approaches and relationships associated with pre-award planning, establishment of suitable contractual and/or alternative business arrangements, and post-award management to include evaluation of cost, schedule, and performance relate to Space RCO acquisition programs Prepares and conducts comprehensive contracting reports, studies, briefings, and related presentations , Desired Skills Employee must meet Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) requirements, which includes achieving Contracting "Foundational" certification category within required timeframe after appointment. Strong oral and written skills, past briefing skills to senior leadership desired Previous supervisory experience desired Experience in
