POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Manager for a long-term contract engagement supporting a manufacturing site in Tulsa. This role is ideal for a hands-on, execution-focused finance leader with strong experience in manufacturing operations, SOX compliance, and audit readiness. The Accounting Manager will partner closely with the site Controller, operations leadership, and corporate finance to ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and timely month-end close activities.

This role requires a strong balance of technical accounting expertise, operational insight, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, site-based manufacturing environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIESLead and support site month-end close activities including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and variance analysisEnsure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting in partnership with site leadership and corporate financeMaintain and strengthen SOX compliance, internal controls, and audit readinessSupport internal and external audits, including documentation preparation and issue resolutionPerform cost accounting activities including inventory, WIP, standard costing, job/project costing, absorption, and cost variance analysisAnalyze manufacturing financial performance including margin analysis and project/job profitabilitySupport forecasting, budgeting, working capital reviews, and operational performance analysisMonitor working capital components including AR, inventory, WIP, and unbilled receivablesIdentify process and control gaps and support remediation effortsPartner closely with the site Controller to support financial decision-making and operational accountabilityProvide financial insights to support operations, corporate finance, and leadership decision-makingAssist in stabilizing and improving accounting processes during transition periods
