Job Summary:
Description The Senior Contracts Manager drafts, reviews, and negotiates routine and complex vendor and supplier contracts for the credit union. This role serves as a trusted advisor to business leaders, supporting strategic vendor relationships while managing risk. The position leads contracting efforts from RFP through execution, ensures compliance with standards and regulations, and supports continuous process improvement in a regulated environment. Job Duties:
Lead and manage Request for Proposal (RFP) process including drafting RFP, reviewing vendor proposals and facilitating vendor selection Draft and review contracts and agreements within specified timelines and in alignment with First Tech standards, leading contract negotiations as required Draft and negotiate contractual provisions, including risk allocation, indemnification, business terms and limitations of liability, collaborating with leadership or internal counsel as appropriate Assist in management of contract repository, ensuring consistency and best practices are followed Ensure contracting policies, processes and practices are current and in alignment with industry best practices and First Tech standards Manage contract renewals, amending and/or extending contracts as required Partnering with business units to ensure vendor compliance with existing contract terms and conditions, escalating to leadership as appropriate Act as a subject matter expert, providing contract guidance to other business units Mentor Contract Managers and other team members on a day to day basis
Essential Skills:
Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree is preferred Minimum 5 years' experience in drafting and negotiating contracts and agreements Familiarity with the financial services industry, terminology, products and services is preferred Solid grasp of governance, privacy and security laws, risk management and compliance principles relevant to third party suppliers Familiarity with financial industry laws and regulations is preferred Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to effectively resolve issues Proven sound judgment, work ethic, and professional integrity with exceptional attention to detail Ability to work autonomously, to manage time effectively and prioritize work appropriately to meet deadlines Exceptional business communication skills; able to write/speak clearly and professionally for a variety of audiences Ability to successfully lead negotiations Ability to foster strong relationships...
