Contract QuickBooks Migration Specialist / Bookkeeper

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced QuickBooks Migration Specialist / Bookkeeper to assist with transitioning our accounting system from QuickBooks Desktop (Premier Manufacturing & Wholesale Edition 2012) to QuickBooks Online Plus. This is a project-based contract role focused on handling the migration, ensuring data accuracy, and providing support during the transition period. The ideal candidate will also assist with training internal staff to take over ongoing bookkeeping responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the migration from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online Assess existing Desktop file and recommend best migration approach Clean up and organize financial data during transition Ensure accuracy of: Chart of Accounts, Historical balances, Transactions & Reporting Assist with inventory setup and validation Work alongside internal team during transition period Provide basic training and guidance on QuickBooks Online usage Support short-term bookkeeping needs during transition (as needed)

Qualifications:

Proven experience with QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online migrations Experience working with older QuickBooks Desktop versions (preferred) Strong understanding of: Bookkeeping fundamentals, Bank reconciliations, General ledger Experience with inventory tracking in QuickBooks Familiarity with QuickBooks Online Payroll (preferred) Ability to troubleshoot migration issues and ensure data integrity Strong communication skills and ability to explain processes clearly

Project Scope:

Estimated duration: 4 to 8 weeks (depending on migration approach) Flexible schedule (remote work acceptable) Collaboration with internal team during migration and transition Potential for continued limited support after migration while internal staff transitions into the QuickBooks Online system and workflows

Compensation:

Hourly rate based on experience Open to proposals
