Duties Help As a Contract Specialist, you will : Exercise responsibility for the procurement of contract requirements which are often among the most complex and difficult procurements conducted by USMMA, frequently involving critical and/or sensitive program efforts and multi-million-dollar funding commitments. Conduct post-award conferences; monitors and reports on contractor's performance; resolves performance deficiencies; conduct all required actions with respect to contract terminion; and prepares all supporting documention (e.g. D & F's, Sole Sources Justificion). Evalue proposed contract modificions, analyzes cost and price proposals with respect to modificions, contract changes, and claims; negotie and prepare contract changes, modificions, and claim settlements. Exercise responsibility for administrion of all contracts, which the employee negoties. Such administrion functions are specialized, and often complex. Perform price/cost analyses. Analyze commercial pricing practices applicable to the commodities and the lest economic developments pertaining to increased merial, labor, or transportion costs as reflected in the current price indexes.
