Position Summary The Contracting Specialist plays a critical role in supporting revenue growth, ensuring compliance, and strengthening customer relationships through effective contract management. This role partners closely with Sales, Legal, Finance, and Operations to manage the full contract lifecycle, support new business opportunities, and drive contract renewals and extensions with state and local government agencies. This position also owns the integrity and accuracy of contract data within the company's ERP system, ensuring alignment between executed agreements and financial and operational reporting. Key Responsibilities Contract Lifecycle Management Manage contracts end-to-end, including drafting, review, negotiation, execution, and renewal Maintain centralized contract repository and track key terms, milestones, and renewal dates Proactively manage expirations and extensions to minimize revenue disruption ERP Contract Management & Data Integrity Own entry, maintenance, and accuracy of all contracts within ERP system Ensure alignment between ERP data and executed agreements (pricing, terms, duration, renewals) Partner with Finance to support revenue recognition and reporting accuracy Develop standardized processes for contract setup, updates, and renewals Support reporting and visibility into contract status and pipeline Customer Engagement & Contract Extensions Partner with Sales and Customer Success to drive renewals and extensions Conduct proactive outreach to agencies ahead of contract expiration Ensure contract terms align with customer expectations and program performance RFP & New Contract Review Review RFPs and new opportunities for legal, commercial, and operational risk Provide guidance on requirements, deviations, and compliance considerations Collaborate cross-functionally to support compliant, competitive responses Sales Support & Contract Development Partner with Sales to structure deals and contracts Develop and maintain contract templates aligned with company and state requirements Ensure consistency while allowing for jurisdictional flexibility Negotiation & Risk Management Lead and support contract negotiations with agencies and partners Balance risk mitigation with commercial objectives Escalate complex issues appropriately while maintaining deal momentum Compliance & Governance Ensure contracts comply with federal, state, and local regulations Partner with Legal and Compliance on regulatory changes Support audit readiness and documentation requirements Qualifications Education & Experience 3-5 years of contract management experience Experience working with state and local government contracts required Strong understanding of RFP processes and public procurement Experience with ERP systems for contract management Top Skills Contract negotiation and risk assessment Strong written and verbal communication High attention to detail and organization Cross-functional collaboration Data accuracy and process discipline Project and time management Preferred Experience in government technology, public safety, or regulated industries Familiarity with contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools Experience working across multi-state regulatory environments Ideal Candidate Traits Detail-oriented and highly organized Strong business judgment and problem-solving mindset Comfortable navigating ambiguity in a growing organization Proactive and able to manage multiple priorities Collaborative and team-focused Reporting Relationships This position reports directly to the Director of Bids and Proposals and works closely with Sales, Legal, Finance, and Operations Pay $75,000 per year Benefits 401(k) Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Paid time off Schedule Full-time Monday-Friday Day Shift On-site in Chattanooga, TN - Hybrid or Remote (with travel as needed) Why Join Blue Line Solutions?
