Job Summary Under the general direction and supervision of the Business and Revenue Contracts Supervisor, the Contract Administrator 3 serves as an experienced contract development and negotiation analyst for the Business & Revenue Contracts team.
The incumbent must possess an in-depth understanding of contracting principles, procedures, and negotiation techniques; the ability to independently and proactively complete all responsibilities of the position in a timely manner; and is adept at analyzing issues of a diverse scope and presenting effective solutions. The role will remain flexible and adaptable to evolving technologies, such as AI toolsets, automation, and other tools which may support analysis, throughput, and operations.

- For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position Bachelor's degree in business, finance, law, government, or a related field and/or equivalent combination of experience and education
Experience writing and analyzing moderately complex agreements, proposals, and /or awards of at least a medium complexity.
Experience negotiating contracts with contractors, stakeholders, and colleagues and representatives of industry or government.
Thorough working knowledge of contracting principles, business law, and government regulations (both at the State and Federal level).
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to interact with broad and diverse constituencies and to communicate detailed or technical information clearly, accurately and concisely to both technical and non-technical audience/customers.
Strong analytical skills to comprehensively analyze and interpret policies, procedures and situations in a multifaceted way and possess strong problem-solving skills to develop innovative solutions to complex issues.
Organizational and time management skills sufficient to independently establish priorities and coordinate and complete competing assignments within established timeframes. Preferred Qualifications JD or MBA degree.
Experience in contracting at a higher education environment.
Experience working with generally accepted accounting principles policies and procedures of the university.
Knowledge of University of California Business and Finance polices and procedures. Key Responsibilities 55%
