Job Description
[Job Description] A large reputable utility company in Bothell, WA is currently hiring for a Procurement Contract Manager. The Procurement Contract Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end contract management for a broad range of goods and services in support of various business units at the company. They will utilize contracting best practices, assess and mitigate risk, and ensure compliance with corporate policies. The will maintain contract oversight for various categories of goods and services, including analysis, development, negotiation, and administration of contracts, as well as dispute resolution and monitoring compliance with contract terms. This role will collaborate with a wide range of internal teams, including close coordination with other Procurement functions, and maintain positive, professional relationships with the company's suppliers. - Bothell, WA (Hybrid Schedule; 50% On-site and 50% Remote) Contract Duration
- 12-Month Contract (High Potential for Extension/Conversion) [ Responsibilities]
- Draft, negotiate, redline, and execute contracts for the purchase of materials and/or services.
- Facilitate and execute changes to contracts, including amendments, renewals, termination, extensions, etc., as needed.
- Secure favorable contract terms and conditions to obtain the best possible outcome for the company, including risk mitigation.
- Provide contract interpretation, review, and management of agreements and associated internal or external documentation.
- Coordinate with Sourcing/Category Managers, Procurement Operations, Supplier Management, as well as Legal, Risk, Cybersecurity, and other internal teams.
Issue Resolution Management:
Assist Supplier Management and business stakeholders in the resolution of contract discrepancies with suppliers and affected internal customers.- Facilitate timely resolution of contractual and performance issues to minimize the impact of disruptions to internal customers.
- Support communication and resolutions of any issues related to contract compliance. [Qualification Requirements]
- 3-5+ years of experience with contract management, including contract negotiation (legal terms and language).
- Bachelor's degree in finance, supply management, business administration, engineering or other related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
- Open to various industry backgrounds.
- Definite need in skills related to redlining using track changes in Word.
- Strong understanding of business and contract law as applied to supplier relationships.
- Strong working knowledge of contracting concepts and commercial law.
- Strong negotiation skills and demonstrated conflict resolution skills.
- Strong ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risk.
- Ability to present complex topics in an effective and concise manner to broad-based audiences, including various levels of management. [Bonus Qualifications]
- Familiarity with eProcurement Source-to-Pay tools desirable (Ariba, SAP).
- Understanding of procurement governance, processes, and policies.
- Analytical and interpretive skills to recognize, comprehend, and assess data, complex issues, and industry information.
