Full Job Description Description:
This role is responsible for the development and submission of grant proposals while overseeing the organization's full portfolio of grant-funded contracts. The position ensures strong systems for compliance, documentation, and lifecycle management. This position reports to the Chief Community Impact Officer. This role may be eligible for a hybrid schedule following the completion of the first 90 days of employment. Supervisory Responsibilities None Position Responsibilities Complete grant applications; work with Program Directors and other key staff to gather source content, refine all materials so that they are responsive to each opportunity, and ensure timely and compliant submission of all grant applications. Assemble all necessary materials for grant submission, including attachments, budgets, and supporting documentation. Manage grant preparation and cross-departmental communication for significant funding opportunities that require input from multiple teams. Work collaboratively with the finance department to ensure grant budgets accurately reflect the intent and requirements of each application. Review all awarded grants and contracts requirements, create and maintain systems whereby all key staff understand and adhere to contractual obligations (including reporting, grant acknowledgement, administrative processes such as budget revisions, etc.). Manage post-award process, including the execution of grant and contract documents, coordination of award kickoff meetings, completion of grant summary materials, and communication of requirements to key staff. Ensure goals for grants and contract revenue are met by managing the acquisition and administration of grant and contract funding in line with the strategic plan. Complete and/or support the completion of timely grant reporting in partnership with Program Directors, members of the finance department, and other key staff. Research and identify new grant and contract funding opportunities and make recommendations regarding SPFC's capacity and competitiveness to pursue them. In collaboration with the Chief Community Impact Officer, maintain ongoing communications with funders, coordinate with funder contacts on reporting, documentation, compliance, and modifications. Support internal controls by partnering with the finance department to provide grants and contracts documentation for audits and support billing for contracts as appropriate. Maintain organized and up-to-date records of submitted proposals, awarded grants, and all active contracts within the donor database and other organizational systems. Develop and consistently improve processes and tools to strengthen the organization's effectiveness in grant management and contract oversight. All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

Adhere to agency policies and procedures and all Federal and State regulations and local regulations and ordinances. Required Skills & Abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage complex documentation and multiple concurrent deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret grant and contract requirements and ensure compliance. Strong relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders. Capability to prioritize teamwork and inter- and cross-departmental collaboration. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related software. Capability to learn new technological systems and use a broad range of technologies. Commitment to modeling the St. Pete Free Clinic mission and values. Education & Experience Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from an accredited four-year college or university in English, Communications, Public Administration, or related fields. Minimum of three years of demonstrated success in acquiring and administering grants in a nonprofit setting. Experience in managing contracts or agreements, including tracking and compliance, strongly preferred. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times. SPFC is a Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace.
