RVS is a world leader in the research, design, and manufacturing of focal plane arrays and flight-based vision systems. We have an immediate opportunity for a Proposals Analyst to join and support our Focal Plane Operations group. This individual will have primary responsibility to support the development of cost proposals for new manufacturing business bids and for improving the proposal process. The person will work with program management resources to first understand and outline the customer requirements (particularly the new product architecture) and then work with a variety of operations and engineering resources to determine best historical basis of estimate with rationale for completing the new estimate. That rationale will then be formed into the estimate of hours for the various functions within operations for the new program. This information is then entered into a costing model which assigns costs to each element. Maintenance and improvement of both the process and the cost model tool is also a key role of this position. The position will also respond to audits from time to time working with Pricing and Compliance. This person will also be flexibly providing help on manufacturing engineering projects when primary workload fluctuates.
What You Will Do:
Collaborate with other teams to understand other functions and program needs (design engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, etc.) Understand and execute the fundamentals of pricing and compliance Understand the various contract types and conditions of offers Work to understand the manufacturing operations and the steps involved in complex electro-mechanical systems and how they relate and impact performance and cost Works on overall bid and proposal process improvements
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. Bids, proposals, cost analyst and/or finance experience.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Experience in process analysis and efficiency mapping Hands on spreadsheet and financial systems capability (SAP PRISM) Strong analytical skills Strong organizational skills.

The salary range for this role is 75,800 USD - 144,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
