This role partners closely with Proposal Managers, Pricing, Business Development, and Capture teams to evaluate proposal structure, messaging, and responsiveness to customer requirements. The position plays a key role in strengthening proposal quality by identifying gaps, improving clarity, and ensuring alignment with evaluation criteria and customer expectations. The Proposal Review Specialist operates in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, supporting multiple concurrent proposal efforts while maintaining a high standard of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail. The salary range for this position is $115,382
  • 144,228 per year.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Analyze solicitations to develop compliance matrices addressing all customer requirements Evaluate proposal outlines and templates to ensure alignment with solicitation instructions and evaluation criteria Participate in proposal kickoffs and review cycles (Pink, Red, and Gold Team reviews), providing feedback on structure, content, and responsiveness Review proposal content for clarity, organization, and alignment with customer terminology, mission, and evaluation priorities Assess proposal volumes and artifacts, including technical, management, past performance, and pricing content for consistency and compliance Review proposal components such as standard forms, representations and certifications, cover letters, tables of contents, graphics, appendices, and spreadsheets for format and completeness Ensure consistency in formatting, messaging, and presentation across all proposal volumes and supporting materials Identify gaps, inconsistencies, or compliance issues and recommend improvements to proposal teams Support coordination across proposal, pricing, capture, and business development teams during active proposal efforts Contribute to continuous improvement of proposal review processes, tools, and templates Perform other duties as assigned Supervision No supervisory responsibilities. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Communication, English, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered on a 1:1 basis. Seven (7) years of experience supporting government proposals. Three (3) years of professional writing or editing experience, preferably in a federal proposal environment. Experience reviewing and editing proposal content in a government contracting environment. Working knowledge of the federal procurement process, including FAR principles and solicitation structures. Experience supporting multiple proposal efforts in a deadline-driven environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat. Ability to obtain and maintain any required client or contract-specific clearances. U.S. Citizenship. Preferred Qualifications Experience working across multiple proposal volumes (technical, management, past performance, pricing) Experience supporting proposals across diverse service lines (construction, environmental, logistics, professional services, etc.) Familiarity with CRM systems, GovWin, SAM, or similar tools Experience evaluating graphics for messaging and presentation effectiveness Knowledge of common government contract types (FFP, T&M, CPFF, IDIQ) Shipley or similar proposal certification Experience and knowledge of Alaska Native cultures Shareholder Preference Pursuant to PL 93-638, as amended, preference will be given to qualified Ahtna Native Corporation Shareholders, Descendants, and Spouses in all phases of employment.
