$70,000-$115,000 A growing and resilient AEC organization in Baltimore is seeking a Proposal Specialist to join its marketing and business development team. This role is ideal for a creative, strategic professional who enjoys leading pursuits, collaborating with leadership, and driving impactful wins. Position Overview The Proposal Specialist will lead the development of high-quality, compelling proposals and support strategic growth initiatives. This individual will work closely with leadership and technical teams to position the firm competitively and enhance its presence in the marketplace. Key Responsibilities Support strategic marketing and business development initiatives in collaboration with leadership Lead the full proposal lifecycle, including pursuit strategy, team coordination, and client presentations Conduct client debriefs to strengthen future pursuit strategies Identify and secure teaming opportunities with internal leaders and external partners Train technical staff on proposal writing, presentations, and marketing best practices Manage marketing resources, including content libraries, opportunity tracking, and CRM systems (Deltek) Ensure branding consistency across proposals, marketing materials, and social media Represent the firm at industry events and within the community Plan and execute internal events to drive employee engagement Monitor procurement channels and lead Go/No-Go decision processes Qualifications Bachelor's degree required 3-8+ years of experience in AEC marketing, proposals, or business development Strong visual and graphic design skills; proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Deltek, and Microsoft Office Suite Experience with CRM/asset management databases (Deltek preferred) Strong understanding of AEC marketing fundamentals, including: Proposal and SOQ development Go/No-Go processes Business development strategy Proven experience managing proposal production from concept through final submission (digital and print) Why This Role Stands Out Flexible schedule with compressed work week options Hybrid work environment with meaningful remote flexibility Strong growth potential based on performance and individual strengths Opportunity to join a team in a stable, rebounding business environment Benefits & Perks 401(k): 50% match up to 4% (currently paused, expected to return) Health insurance and 401(k) eligibility effective the 1st of the month after 30 days PTO starting at 3 weeks (negotiable based on experience) 100% paid gym membership located next door Pet insurance Free parking #LI-BK1 #INMAY2026
