Reporting to the Contracts or Legal team, you will be responsible for digitizing, reviewing, and auditing vital contract data. The ideal candidate possesses a sharp eye for detail, the ability to sort and analyze large data sets, and comfort shifting priorities as our project develops. This role is hybrid. Candidates must be able to work in NYC.
Key Responsibilities Data Auditing:
Review and analyze existing data sets, verifying the accuracy of information against source documents.
Contract Management:
Pull and sort relevant contracts from physical and digital files to extract required data points.
Data Entry & Tracking:
Utilize basic office software—with a heavy emphasis on Excel —to log contract details, track missing information, and organize data cleanly.
Project Adaptability:
Execute duties with a high level of care and diligence; duties and focus areas may shift as the project's needs evolve.
General Administration:
Provide additional ad-hoc clerical support to the publishing and contracts teams as requested.
Qualifications & Requirements Software Skills:
Strong proficiency in basic office software, with advanced capabilities and ease in working with Microsoft Excel (e.g., sorting, filtering, and data organization). Attention to
Detail:
Exceptional care, diligence, and meticulousness when handling confidential and dense contracts.
Analytical Mindset:
Ability to quickly sort through data sets and extract relevant information accurately.
Publishing Experience:
Previous administrative or contract experience within the publishing or literary industry is highly desired, though not strictly required.
Flexibility:
