Job Description:
The Grants Administrator serves as the primary source of expertise, training, and education in matters relating to government regulation of externally funded research to all research faculty and staff on behalf of Department Administration. The Grants Administrator is responsible for the financial and administrative management of sponsored projects across the post-award lifecycle. This role ensures compliance with sponsor, federal, and institutional guidelines while providing accurate financial oversight, coordinating reporting requirements, and supporting faculty and departmental staff. The Grants Administrator serves as a key resource for project management, financial analysis, and regulatory compliance.
Job Duties:
Manage financial and administrative activities for sponsored projects across the post award lifecycle Monitor budgets, expenditures, and balances to ensure compliance with sponsor and institutional guidelines Coordinate personnel funding, appointments, and effort reporting Administer subawards, including agreement review, invoice approval, and payment monitoring Ensure timely completion and submission of required financial and compliance reports Identify and resolve financial discrepancies, unallowable costs, and compliance issues Maintain accurate, complete, and audit-ready documentation Provide guidance to faculty and staff and coordinate with central offices on sponsored project matters Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure. Performs related duties as required.
