Job Description

Where You'll Work Founded in 1956, Dignity Health - Memorial Hospital is a 385-bed, acute care, nonprofit hospital located in Bakersfield, California. Serving nearly 100,000 patients annually, the hospital offers a full complement of services including heart care, maternity care, and orthopedics. Additionally, Memorial Hospital has been recognized as an LGBTQ+ Healthcare Equality Leader by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation. It is a Joint Commission-certified Primary Stroke Center, and its Lauren Small Children's Center is the first comprehensive pediatric program in Kern County. One Community. One Mission. One California Job Summary and Responsibilities This position will be responsible for evaluating, planning, implementing, and coordinating the Cardiovascular Service Line for Bakersfield Memorial Hospital Provide operational oversight of clinical activities as it relates to program development and management; and identifies opportunities for growth within the Service Line. This position acts as liaison and communications link to medical staff, nursing personnel, hospital employees and outside vendors. The role also oversees internal telemedicine processes and telehealth outreach efforts pertinent to the service line. This position is responsible for maintaining quality standards for the heart programs, i.e. stroke and chest pain; maintaining current and accurate policies, procedures and practices pursuant to program accreditation and certification requirements.
Job Requirements Education:
Bachelors Degree in Nursing or other related field required.
Experience:
Ten years of progressive healthcare management experience with a minimum of five years of management in the acute setting. Demonstrated experience with clinical process knowledge in a multi service line environment coupled with experience and knowledge of program accreditation and certification elements and requirements.
