PM Location:
Fresno, CA in person Full-Time employees receive our comprehensive compensation package which includes 100% employer paid medical insurance with by-up options for your dependents. Employee and Dependent Dental and Vision plans, Employee Assistance Program, ESOP and 401k plans. 8 Paid Holidays, Paid Sick and Paid Vacation time earned on an accrued basis. The pay range for this position is $138,694
  • 209,560 paid annually, offers will be based on the successful candidate's experience.
Role & Responsibilities The Branch Manager will serve as the local "face" for BSK, internal to the Branch, and via participation in social and professional community activities. The position has primary responsibility for assigned business unit growth, profit/loss and for assuring staff in assigned region(s) perform as a unified, aggressive local team, and in accordance with BSK's Vision, Mission and Values.
Specific duties include:
Direct and oversee the operations of the engineering or technical services department. Supervise staff in executing plans, programs, and services. Provide technical expertise on projects and serve as project manager on select department projects. Manage department/division budget and ensure optimized use of resources. Assure quality control and compliance with licenses, certifications, and company initiatives. Participate in marketing and business development activities to secure clients. Collaborate with other branch managers and managing principals as part of the senior management and leadership team. Ensure the productivity (utilization) of assigned business unit staff. Handle staffing of clerical and support functions and manage facilities and equipment as assigned. Act as the first-line responder for problems, accidents, and disputes. Engage with all regions and discipline employees, fostering positive morale and communications. Take responsibility for the profit and loss (P/L) of the assigned business units. Identify and mentor future business leaders and develop successor planning and recruiting strategies. Network actively within client and professional organizations to promote productive group projects and business development. Perform as a \"seller-doer\" to drive business growth. Qualifications & Education Requirements Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is required. Experience in the Geotechnical or Materials Testing and Special Inspection disciplines is desired. 15+ years of related experience in engineering or technical services. Strong leadership and supervisory skills. Advanced technical expertise in engineering principles and practices. Proven ability to manage budgets and optimize resource use. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Experience in business development and client relationship management. Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related technical field or equivalent experience. CA Professional Engineer License or Professional Geologist, or equivalent technical experience. Minimum ten years of staff management and business development accountability. Manages and coaches Principals, leads peer review teams, and ensures alignment with firm-wide goals. Consistent seller-doer, regular business development focus, provides mentoring as a core value, provides technical leadership. Ensures alignment with firm-wide goals.
