Counterpoint Funds is a leading defensive, systematic, and research driven mutual fund and ETF provider specializing in diversifier strategies that are designed to drive portfolio performance over the long run. As an Internal Wholesaler, you will assist in raising assets within a geographic territory by making proactive phone calls to financial advisers to share sales ideas, provide product information, investment updates and offer sales support. This individual will partner with a Regional Vice President (RVP) to execute business strategies within an assigned territory with a focus on acquiring new business relationships. This position plays a key role by leading business development efforts virtually via phone and online activities. At its core, the Internal Wholesaler must have an understanding of and passion for investments, the sales process, as well as excellent verbal and written communications skills. He or she must also have excellent organizational and follow up skills, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously. Moreover, the Internal Wholesaler must demonstrate professional presence, poise, strong presentation skills, and a high level of energy and motivation.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
Primarily motivated by sales success and meeting firm sales goals and targets with an emphasis on acquiring new business. Be responsible for sales completion as determined by sales goals and number of outbound/inbound sales activity. Maintain a minimum call volume each day and a targeted number of appointments on behalf of the RVP. Manage and maintain the customer relationship management system (CRM) and help the RVP maintain client profiles and an optimized travel schedule. Develop extensive working knowledge of Counterpoint Funds' product offerings. Attend certain firm events such as conference calls, broker dealer events, due diligence events or other business initiatives sponsored by the firm.
Qualifications:
Desire and ability to work successfully in a growth oriented entrepreneurial environment. Exceptional communication skills; personable and possesses the ability to communicate with internal and external business partners at all levels. Strong organizational skills Initiative-taker that is not afraid to pick up the phone and practice persistence in everything they do to succeed. Successful track record in developing and managing sales territory. Ability to work independently while also being a team player.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree, preferably in business or finance. Current FINRA Series 7 and 65/66 license or willingness to complete within designated timeframe. Must have passed the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam, prior to applying. Preferred 2 years of experience working in a client service environment in the financial services industry. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Excellent organizational and people skills. Ability to contribute and thrive in a team-oriented culture.
Location:
The position is based out of Counterpoint's office in Fort Lauderdale, FL; the majority of job responsibilities and duties must be met working in-person from the office.
Compensation:
Compensation is competitive and made up of a base salary, bonus, and commissions plan. Expected total compensation for this role (at 100% attainment of plan) is $90-$110k.
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
