Job Description

M&A Technology Transformation Program Manager Project:
Payments Processing System Atlanta, GA 6 months + Starts ASAP We are seeking an experienced technology governance leader to drive high-performing program governance across an enterprise-wide, large-scale M&A technology portfolio. This role will oversee end-to-end program operations and governance for technology related portfolios of work consisting of complex, cross-functional initiatives with executive leadership visibility. The ideal candidate is highly skilled at navigating strategic and detailed complexity, driving progress across interdependent workstreams, orchestrating risk mitigation, and fostering strong partnerships with technical and cross-functional leaders. Key Responsibilities Portfolio Operations & Governance Lead comprehensive program governance for large cross-functional Technology efforts, ensuring consistent visibility into progress, risks, dependencies, and execution health. Maintain and oversee the centralized RID (Risk, Issue, Dependency) log, focused on driving risk mitigation planning and path to green resolutions. Proactively identify emerging risks by collaborating closely with technical and business leaders. Build trust-based relationships to drive credible mitigation and resolution plans. Support Portfolio owners in preparing weekly updates for the SteerCo, including constructing weekly executive level reporting surfacing escalations, highlighting milestone delays and mitigation plans. Optimize governance processes and standardize leading governance practices across the portfolios. Govern weekly operating rhythms, including agenda creation, material preparation, coordination of portfolio owners, and follow-through on action items. Monitor milestones and deliverables across the portfolio; identify late, at risk, or upcoming deadlines and ensure timely follow-up with accountable teams. Conduct project level pulse checks to assess progress, identify leadership support needs, and ensure alignment to program goals and integration timelines. Support governance activities including risk reviews, pre?mortems, cross-functional intervention workshops, and targeted initiative deep dives. Ensure program tool hygiene, accuracy, and transparency for all initiatives within the portfolio. Monitor and support financial value realization tracking across the portfolio, including one-time costs and net recurring benefit commitments.
Desired Expertise & Experience Technology Implementation & Enablement:
Strong understanding of enterprise technology programs, architecture implications, and implementation lifecycle.
Risk Management:
Demonstrated capability in rigorous mitigation planning, dependency management, and structured problem resolution.
Portfolio & Program Management:
Experience governing large portfolios with multiple complex initiatives and senior-level visibility.
Transformation & M&A:
Background supporting transformation programs, large-scale integrations, platform consolidation, or rationalization. FinTech / Payments Industry (preferred): Familiarity with payments ecosystem, operations, platforms, and regulatory considerations.
Cross-Functional Leadership:
Ability to collaborate with senior leaders across Technology, Product, Operations, Finance, and Integration functions.
Execution Excellence:
Reputation for driving progress, enabling clarity, resolving issues, and enabling teams to meet commitments.
Executive Communication:
Skilled at creating concise, data-driven updates and presentations for executive steering committees.
