Job Description
Executive Director - Hospice We are looking for a strong hospice operator who can lead from the front, build and retain a solid team, maintain compliance, and drive disciplined execution across the branch.
Position Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the hospice program Lead branch performance across operations, staffing, compliance, service delivery, and quality outcomes Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and accreditation requirements Hire, develop, and retain qualified hospice personnel Oversee staff orientation, training, competency, and ongoing development Maintain appropriate staffing levels and support interdisciplinary team coordination Monitor operational performance, service utilization, and progress toward strategic goals Ensure strong communication across staff, leadership, patients, families, and referral partners Oversee policies, procedures, and standards of care to support high-quality hospice services Manage budgets, resources, supplies, vendors, and branch infrastructure Promote ethical business practices and strong patient-care standards Requirements Bachelor's Degree in a related field required Master's degree in nursing preferred Minimum 3+ years of hospice management experience Must meet applicable Georgia requirements for hospice administrator qualifications Local candidate, with acute local hospice market knowledge & connections preferred. RN a plus, but not required if otherwise qualified under Georgia hospice administrator requirements Strong working knowledge of hospice operations, Medicare conditions of participation, compliance, and team leadership Stable work history and proven leadership performance Compensation Highly competitive base salary, plus bonus opportunity and strong overall package.
