Job Description

Director of Front Office
  • Hale Hokuala Kauai, Curio Collection by Hilton Set along the breathtaking coastline of Kauai, Hale Hokuala Kauai, Curio Collection by Hilton, is seeking an experienced Director of Front Office to join the team during the pre-opening phase of this highly anticipated 210-room oceanfront golf resort.
This is a rare opportunity to help bring a distinctive destination to life—shaping the arrival experience, service culture, and first impressions from day one. Reporting to the General Manager, this role will lead all aspects of Front Office operational readiness from pre-opening planning through grand opening and into stabilized operations. The Director of Front Office will partner closely with ownership, construction and design teams, and Hilton brand partners to ensure opening milestones are achieved, while building and inspiring a high-performing Front Office team, establishing departmental procedures, and driving seamless execution across guest arrivals, departures, and overall lobby experience. This hands-on leader will play a critical role in developing service standards, arrival and departure protocols, supporting hiring and training strategies, aligning with brand expectations, and ensuring a seamless and elevated guest journey. The ideal candidate brings strong full-service or resort Front Office leadership experience, thrives in fast-paced pre-opening environments, and is energized by building a best-in-class operation from the ground up. The position offers a competitive salary range of $105,000 to $120,000 annually. What will I be doing? As a Director of Front Office, you would be responsible for directing and administering of all Front Office operations in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: Direct and administer all Front Office operations to include, but not limited to, guest service and registration (check-in/check-out), room inventory and availability, guest service standards and initiatives, product quality, cost controls and overall profitability, marketing initiatives, systems use and management, budgeting and forecasting, department management, policy and procedure implementation and enforcement and meeting participation and facilitation Monitor and develop team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision and professional development, scheduling, conducting counseling and evaluations and delivering recognition and reward Monitor and assess service and satisfaction trends, evaluate and address issues and make improvements accordingly Initiate and implement marketing and up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities to maximize room occupancy and overall revenue Implement and monitor all corporate marketing programs Ensure team members have current knowledge of hotel products, services, facilities, events, pricing and policies and knowledge of the local area and events Run and complete daily reports, analyze data and make decisions based on data Resolve guest issues and concerns to guest satisfaction Recruit, interview and train team members #LI-JG1 What are we looking for?
