Full-Time Overview A leading national firm is seeking a Mid-Level M&A Associate to join its Chicago office. This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions for financial sponsors and strategic buyers and sellers across a wide range of industries. The ideal candidate has strong transactional experience, exceptional drafting skills, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative corporate practice environment. Responsibilities Advise clients on mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions Represent financial sponsors and strategic buyers and sellers in complex transactions Draft and negotiate acquisition and disposition agreements and related transaction documents Conduct due diligence and assist with transaction structuring Coordinate with clients and internal teams throughout all phases of transactions Support deal execution from inception through closing Qualifications J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school 4-6 years of M&A and private equity experience Experience representing financial sponsors and strategic buyers/sellers preferred Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills Excellent academic credentials Admission to the Illinois Bar (in good standing) Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary ($310,000 - $390,000) plus bonus potential.
