Recreation, Pool & Marina Manager Job Summary The Recreation, Pool & Marina Manager is responsible for the overall planning, operation, safety, and supervision of recreational programs, aquatic facilities, and marina operations. This position ensures exceptional customer service, regulatory compliance, staff leadership, and the safe, efficient use of all recreation, pool, and marina facilities. Key Responsibilities Recreation & Program Management Plan, develop, and oversee recreational programs, events, and activities for diverse age groups. Evaluate program effectiveness and make improvements based on participation and feedback. Manage facility scheduling, usage, and special events. Pool & Aquatic Operations Oversee daily operations of swimming pools and aquatic facilities. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and lifeguard certification requirements. Supervise lifeguards, swim instructors, and aquatic staff. Coordinate pool maintenance, water quality testing, and safety inspections. Marina Operations Manage marina operations including fuel operations and merchandise sales. Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and maritime regulations. Oversee marina staff and ensure safe fuel protocols are followed. Staff Supervision & Leadership Recruit, hire, train, schedule, and evaluate recreation, pool, and marina staff. Promote a positive, customer-focused team environment. Enforce policies, procedures, and safety protocols. Budgeting & Administration Develop and manage budgets for recreation programs, pool operations, and marina services. Monitor revenues, expenses, and inventory. Prepare reports, records, and operational documentation. Customer Service & Community Relations Address patron inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional manner. Promote recreation programs and marina services through marketing and outreach efforts. Collaborate with community partners, vendors, and regulatory agencies. Safety & Compliance Ensure facilities meet all local, state, and federal safety regulations. Maintain emergency action plans and oversee incident reporting. Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments. Qualifications Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in recreation, aquatic, marina, or facility management preferred. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Knowledge of pool operations, marina management, and recreational programming. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Certifications (Preferred or Required) Lifeguard Instructor, and Certified Pool Operator (CPO). First Aid, CPR, and AED certification. Petro Class C Operator Certificate (preferred). Physical & Work Environment Requirements Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks as needed. Regular exposure to water environments, chemicals, and marina settings. Job Type:
