Job Description
Summary:
The Location Manager is responsible for the profitable, efficient management of all the activities in our Tampa & Durham KS grain locations. Support and guidance are provided from the functional leaders in the organization (Operations, Seed, Feed, Agronomy, etc.) The foundational responsibility of this role is to build and retain customers thru exemplary, individualized service. There is strong emphasis on employee support and development, which includes being able to step into most roles in the location when needed. The position also serves as the Agri Trails liaison within their community.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversees and actively participates in the daily activities of the location Actively manages the needs and concerns of ATC customers Drives activities that maximize efficiency and enhance profitability based on a strategic analysis of sales data and sound business decisions. Manages staff to ensure accuracy, effectiveness, employee retention and customer satisfaction Manages inventories and product quality and movement Maintains and ensures the efficient operation of equipment and the facility. Responsible for all branch accounting functions. Owns the success of the location in reaching all targeted goals. Partners with human resources to interview, hire, train, evaluate and coach team. Recommends all personnel actions, including transfers, promotions, discipline, terminations, etc. Responsible for location safety. Ensures all location employees receive safety training, that equipment is in good working order and that the location is free of safety hazards. Follows all OSHA and DOT regulations and ensures that staff is compliant. Maintains relationships with peers, other department heads and vendor community. Responsible for compliance with all state and federal regulations. Communicates clearly and directly with direct reports, peers, customers and direct reports. Approachable, relates well to others, engages people, articulates clearly and actively listens. Other duties as assigned
Required Education and Experience:
Associate's and/or Bachelor's degree in Agri-Business, Agriculture, Agronomy or a related field. 3 years agriculture/coop experience •Equivalent Combination of education/experience will be considered.
