Director of Strategy and Business

Your Job Koch Engineered Solutions is hiring a Director of Strategy and Business to be located in our Wichita, KS or Scottsdale, AZ office. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping KES's growth by serving as a strategic partner to business leaders, driving growth through the creative identification and implementation of changes across organic growth, business transformation, and M&A. You will need to be a strong, strategic, and cost-effective thinker, be willing to challenge the status quo, have exceptional relationship-building skills, and be able to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive value creation. What You Will Do

Strategic Collaboration:

Partner with KES business unit leaders to develop and execute strategic initiatives that enhance performance and market competitiveness.

Performance Optimization:

Provide analytical and strategic support to identify opportunities for improvements, cost efficiencies, and revenue growth.

Change Management:

Support business leaders in implementing transformative initiatives, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including senior leadership, to align efforts with KES's broader vision.

Deal Sourcing and Evaluation:

Identify, evaluate, and prioritize potential acquisition targets aligned with KES's growth strategy.

Due Diligence:

Lead comprehensive due diligence processes, including financial, operational, and cultural assessments, to ensure alignment with KES's vision and values.

Investment Analysis:

Develop economics to support decision-making. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Progressive experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or corporate development roles.
• Deep experience in financial and economic decision-making.
• Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and execution.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive results in a dynamic environment.
• Experience in corporate/business development, capital allocation, investments, and acquisitions.
• Experience partnering, leading, and influencing through change initiatives or business transformation. What Will Put You Ahead
• Bachelor's degree or higher in business, finance, engineering, or a related field
• Experience within the manufacturing, energy, or related industrial sectors
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
• Familiarity with financial modeling and valuation techniques for deal assessment
• Experience working in or with organizations with a global footprint
