Job Description
The Director of National Scaffolding leads and develops their business line within APi National Service. This role holds Revenue and Margin accountability for the service line, driving both operational execution and long-term strategic growth. The Director is responsible for overseeing project teams, developing talent, ensuring profitable results, and building a strong culture of safety, accountability, and customer partnership. The Director serves as the owner of their line of business and is directly responsible for growth, innovation, and financial outcomes. The Director will oversee the day-to-day activities of the National Service, ensuring that the organization is managed and performing efficiently and effectively. The Director's goal is to lead a line of business that successfully secures and manages union construction projects throughout the United States. The Director will be responsible for adhering to strong project selection criteria, implementing, integrating and adhering to like-processes and SOP's across other national service LOB's, Collaborating with Other LOB director and Api Inc Branch leaders and assure profitable results at the division level. Responsibilities Leadership Build and lead a strong business line team including office operations and field non-manual roles Mentor and develop emerging leaders; create succession depth. Promote a culture aligned with APi's values of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Develop and clearly communicate strategy, goals, and expectations across the business line. Operations & Financial Performance Manage revenue growth, gross margin improvement, overheads and some operating expense ranges. Collaborate with other Directors and Branches to Develop and enforce standardized processes for estimating, project execution, safety, and reporting Ensure projects meet safety, quality, productivity, and profitability targets. Drive financial forecasting, WIP accuracy, and timely reporting. Strategic Growth Identify, pursue, and develop new business opportunities within the line of business Build customer relationships and position APi as an essential partner Collaborate with VP on acquisitions, strategic partnerships, and expansion opportunities Innovate and adapt services to meet evolving market needs Required Skills and Abilities Thorough understanding of practices, theories, and policies involved in construction projects, business and finance Strong budget development and oversight skills Superior verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills Highly trained in conflict management and/or business negotiation processes Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills Ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining organizational control of division operations Qualifications Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in construction management/engineering, operations management, business administration, or related field A minimum of 7-10 years proven experience in an operations management role This position is not eligible for sponsorship
