This Assistant Director position has a particular focus on management and implementation of student focused strengths programming. Responsibilities include administrative work with
BSAD 111
Investing in Strengths, an eight-week first-year experience course for all incoming business students, and BSAD111S, the online version of this course designed for transfer students. The BSAD111 course revolves around the discovery and implementation of results from the CliftonStrengths Assessment for over 900 College of Business students each year. The BSAD course is offered in a large-lecture format once per week, with an additional meeting once per week in a smaller recitation section facilitated by experienced student strengths coaches. The Assistant Director will coordinate and supervise the recitation facilitators, supervise and train the student strengths coaches, and provide coaching to guide the coaches' personal and leadership development. The Assistant Director will also assist with developing and facilitating strengths-based workshops and coaching for internal campus and community partners to continue to promote a strengths-based culture across UNL's campus. //equity.unl.edu/notice-nondiscrimination/ Minimum Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree plus two (2) years' experience to include documented performance through coaching, mentoring, or working with people around their development using the CliftonStrengths assessment required. Experience planning, organizing, and coordinating events necessary. Knowledge of the CliftonStrengths assessment and demonstrated ability to employ strengths-based methodologies. Demonstrate ability to use Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Canvas, and related programs. Experience functioning in a leadership role. Current CliftonStrengths coach certification required. Must possess a valid driver's license and complete certification training for operating a UNL van after hire date. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in student affairs preferred; significant progress towards a graduate degree in student affairs or related field will be considered.
