OUR BEAUTY CLIENT IS BASED IN NYC AND LOOKING FOR SOMEONE IN NYC WHO'S CURRENTLY A DIRECTOR OF NATIONAL DEPARTMENT STORE ACCOUNTS
The Director of National Accounts is a senior leadership role within a luxury fragrance company, responsible for driving strategic growth across key national retail partners such as department stores and specialty beauty chains. This individual serves as the primary liaison between the brand and major accounts, managing high-value relationships and delivering on revenue, profitability, and market share objectives. Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Planning:
Develop and execute comprehensive annual business plans for national accounts, with a focus on maximizing brand performance, increasing market share, and identifying new growth opportunities.P&L Management:
Own and manage the full profit and loss (P&L) for assigned accounts, including achieving net sales targets, optimizing retail performance, and ensuring profitability goals are met.Account Management & Negotiations:
Lead all aspects of account relationships, including high-level negotiations for product assortment, placement, promotional calendars, and retailer-specific initiatives such as Gifts with Purchase (GWP) and exclusive launches.Inventory Management & Forecasting:
Oversee forecasting and inventory planning to ensure optimal stock levels across all channels. Proactively address out-of-stock risks and align supply with demand through regular sales analysis and forecasting cycles.Cross-Functional Leadership:
Collaborate closely with internal teams—including marketing, finance, supply chain, and field sales—to ensure alignment between account strategies and overall brand objectives.Performance Analysis & Reporting:
Monitor and analyze sales performance, market trends, and competitive activity to inform decision-making and continuously refine account strategies. Qualifications Proven experience in national account management within luxury, beauty industry MIN 8 years of wholesale experience in the beauty industry MUST be a Current Director level of wholesale accounts,specifically with Nordstrom, Bloomingdales etc. Strong financial acumen with direct P&L management experience Demonstrated success in leading complex negotiations with major retail partners Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and leadership skills Ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive results in a fast-paced environment Benefits offered See BenefitsSimilar jobs in New York, NY
