Corporate Associate Ref No. CLE5191 Job Location Cleveland Work Type Full Time Description Squire Patton Boggs is hiring a mid to senior level Associate with corporate transactional experience to join its sophisticated corporate practice and be part of a highly collaborative team. The position can be based in our Cincinnati, Cleveland, or Columbus offices. The individual hired for this position will have an opportunity to assume significant responsibility in complex transactional matters for key clients and be part of a growing local and global team. The candidate can also expect to be involved with a variety of assignments and receive valuable hands-on experience across a range of disciplines, including cross-border mergers and acquisitions, private equity, debt finance, capital markets, joint ventures, strategic alliances, commercial contracts, securities offerings and corporate governance.

Responsibilities:

Advise firm clients on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and other corporate transactional matters Transaction management and due diligence Assist with managing client relationships

Academic and Professional Qualifications:

Possess a JD from an accredited law school and a strong academic record Admission to the Ohio Bar and be in good standing At least 5 years of meaningful experience in a law firm managing mergers and acquisitions, securities, and other corporate transactional matters

Professional Skills & Experience:

Experience in mergers and acquisitions, dispositions, auctions, carve-out transactions, joint ventures and/or cross-border transactions Demonstrated ability to draft purchase agreements, ancillary documents, and third-party legal opinions Demonstrated ability to coordinate transaction teams (domestic and cross-border) Experience managing due diligence and the data room or data site Experience negotiating aspects of corporate transactions

In order to be considered for a position at Squire Patton Boggs, you must formally apply online. The salary range for this position is $250,000 to $320,000 per year, depending on skills and experience.
