Job Description
Moeller Trucking, Inc. is a national trucking and logistics company that operates 400 trucks, 600 trailers, and 3 terminal locations throughout the United States. We are growing and in search of a full-time Fleet Manager to join our talented staff at our Maria Stein, OH location. The Fleet Manager is an important role within the organization and is responsible for data accuracy, driving revenue, tracking and communication with drivers, problem solving, and cross-functional collaboration. The Fleet Manager would have the following responsibilities. Drive Revenue, Profitability, and on time performance for assigned fleet of drivers. Monitor driver mileage and performance with a focus on driver retention Regularly update and maintain data in fleet management software (TMS), telematics systems, and other tools to ensure the information used for planning and decision-making is reliable and optimized Assigning orders to drivers via TMS and ensuring they have the necessary information to be successful Work cross functionally with planning, customer service, and safety to align priorities and streamline processes. Monitor shipments to make sure delivery schedules are being met, and at the right temperature, troubleshooting issues that may cause delays. Collaborate closely with team to manage and maintain customer trailer pools Stay in regular contact with drivers to monitor their schedules, hours of service, and location, allowing for better route planning and resource allocation Work every third Saturday morning (flexible scheduling), 8am-noon paid as overtime Experience/Certification Required Analytical, detail-oriented, professional attitude, organized, dependable and level-headed Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communications skills Excellent typing and computer skills including Microsoft Word & Outlook Bachelor's degree preferred 1 year experience in transportation, logistics, or trucking field preferred, but not required The role has the potential for growth and increasing complexity, which may include taking on new projects or higher-level duties Salary/Benefits 16 days PTO 7 Paid Holidays Competitive salary Anthem BCBS Medical insurance, just $35 per week for employee.
