Full-time SUMMARY:
The Commercial Services Manager oversees daily operations for shredding, document storage, water cooler services, and customer support. This role drives strategic planning, ensures regulatory compliance, and manages team performance. Key focus areas include excellent service delivery, quality control, and stakeholder satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Supervise and support commercial service staff, ensuring proper scheduling, workflow, and adherence to company policies and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with the CEO and SVP Operations, and other internal stakeholders to set and achieve departmental performance targets and strategic plans.
  • Ensure commercial sales targets are met and effectively track and monitor business development efforts.
  • Identify and maintain relationships with key business to business clients and partners to drive continuous commercial sales growth.
  • Contract negotiations and business agreements related to commercial services.
  • Serve as an escalation point of contact for customer concerns and service continuity.
  • Work with Marketing to develop promotional material and strategies for commercial services.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, safety protocols, and quality management.
  • Conduct routine inspections, monitor service quality, identify inefficiencies, and implement corrective actions to improve performance.
  • Coordinate with HR Manager regarding hiring, training, performance evaluations, and coaching to develop a high-performing team, addressing disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Maintain and monitor equipment, coordinate repairs, and ensure staff follow proper handling and maintenance procedures.
  • Ensure work areas remain clean, organized, and in compliance with safety and housekeeping standards to reduce workplace hazards.
  • Other duties as assigned by leadership.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for guiding, overseeing, and mentoring all team members in the Commercial Services Department.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail.
  • Must pass DOT certification and all required background checks.
  • Demonstrated experience in team governance and meeting or exceeding service demands.

  • Demonstrated experience in developing strategic business plans, presentations, and data driven reports.
  • Familiarity with CRM and ERP systems and operational performance metrics.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's in business administration or related field, plus 2+ years of demonstrated management experience in leadership, supervision, and operational oversight is required, or Associate's degree in business management or related field, plus 5+ years of demonstrated management experience in leadership, supervision, and operational oversight are required.
  • Experience in business development or sales is a plus.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Ability to effectively and professionally communicate in both verbal and written formats.
  • Personal computer operation including a thorough understanding of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret various spreadsheets, data matrixes, and make actionable recommendations for business operations and continuity using the same.
  • Attention to detail, multitasking, and strong organizational skills are essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to actively participate and perform in a team-oriented environment.
