An Associate Brand Manager (ABM) on the Channel Development Packtypes Team is a marketing leader who is responsible for projects and activities that grow Hershey's portfolio of brands with specific strategic focus on maximizing our performance based on the specific needs of select channels. An ABM must be a strong leader of people in cross-functional assignments as he/she/they play a leadership role throughout the company, coordinating with other functional areas to ensure necessary actions occur in alignment with project goals. This position plays a significant role in translating our company strategies to lead across channels into tangible product-based growth activities spanning multiple brands or relevant pack sizes. Additionally, this position requires strong analytical skills as well as an ability to translate analysis of the business into recommended actions to better deliver for our Consumer, Shopper and Company. This role requires strong linkage with Brand Marketing, Demand Creation Strategy, and Channel Development, and Sales teams - delivering on packtype-related strategies and executions across business segments. This role requires strong commercial knowledge of our brands, customers and products and an ability to link projects with key marketing strategies. This role is seen as a key lever for enabling our short and medium-term segment growth, profitability and share position.Responsibilities:
Analysis of the business results or directing such analysis Project leadership on priority projects that deliver on the growth objectives of the business segment Strategic (3yr) and annual (12mo) planning of the PPA pipeline Partnership with brand teams, demand creation teams, and commercial organization to support strategy development for product-related opportunities across Price-Pack Architecture (PPA) Leadership of activities inside (and outside) the company that will result in successful implementation of PPA plans for the segment. This can include strategic briefing, guiding priority projects through the governance process, and building consensus on cost/benefit trade-offs for commercial alignment. Maintaining a deep knowledge of the commercial, operational, and financial dimensions of the business External and internal assessments of the business environment, competitors, customers, market trends, and implications to the particular area of responsibility Personal training and developmentQualifications:
Education:
MBA preferred; relevant internal Hershey experience accepted in lieu ofMBA Experience/ Skills:
3+ years or professional experience. Previous project management experience with proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment is preferred. Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills. Overall business knowledge and holistic general management approach. Superior strategic thinking and planning. Outstanding analytical abilities. Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to nurture and contribute to new ideas and solutions. Demonstrated ability to be accountable for sales, income, and profit results. Strong verbal and written communicator to a wide breadth of audiences including senior management. Economic value creation mindset. Lifelong learner with potential to be a strong-people developer.
