Description:
Our client headquartered in Virginia is seeking a Capture Manager based in Arlington. The position reports to the VP of Business Development and offers a hybrid workplace with two remote days. The Capture Manager will utilize market research to cultivate defense opportunities and manage all phases of the capture process. The ideal candidate has capture and proposal management experience in the defense market. Possesses technical foundation, presentation and communication skills (both written and oral).
Duties/Responsibilities:
Build and nurture trusted relationships with military program managers, technical stakeholders, and defense industry partners to shape solution requirements Lead cross-functional proposal development, including teaming analysis and pricing strategies Monitor industry trends, competitive intelligence and customer requirements to uncover opportunities and develop capture strategies Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to develop long-term strategic business development plans Deliver reports and briefings on opportunities, highlighting challenges and resolutions
Skills/Requirements:
Proficiency with government programs (ideally military, missile defense or space) Skilled in capture management and proposal development Strategic positioning, negotiation and budget management Exposure to Shipley methodology a plus Must be willing to travel to prospective client locations, trade shows, conferences and industry events as required (up to 40%)
Qualifications:
5+ Years' Capture Management experience in the Defense industry Technical Bachelor's degree from accredited four-year College or University (Master's a plus) Must be US Citizen and eligible to obtain US DoD Secret Clearance (active clearance a plus)
