Educational assistance program Overview The Director will work within the Industry Relations team to oversee the execution of the commercial strategy, manage the development of initiatives and spearhead the relationship management with stakeholders in the insurance industry for the promotion of AM Best ratings in the marketplace.
The Director will also oversee the expansion of the use of CRM software and coordinate globally on its proper use; the management of the development and approvals of initiatives, business cases and segment-focused projects globally. Responsibilities
Evaluate and monitor insurance market trends to spot opportunities for AM Best or areas of concern
Management responsibilities for the industry relations team members, budgets and marketing materials
Train and develop staff for succession planning purposes
Work with SD and EVP to establish standard processes for market selection, segment targeting, SWOT analysis and product development
Manage effectiveness of the use of Salesforce for CRM. Globally implement CRM framework for major clients and initiatives
Oversee and create management reports for Boards, including KPI reporting
Track and forecast revenues by region, incorporating potential costs and regulatory hurdles for management reporting
Collaborate with global market development teams on developing products and content. Manage the development of new ratings products. Assemble business cases, revenue projections, and reports for senior management
Oversee project management of initiatives where Industry Relations plays a critical role
Act as a primary point of contact for industry inquiries about AM Best Ratings Services. This could include asset managers, brokers, service providers, etc
Perform and oversee targeted outreach to identified stakeholder groups, including but not limited to, industry or trade associations, conference organizers, or specific industry segments for industry engagement. This could include organizing speaking requests, proposing session submissions for consideration, coordinating industry event participation, training, or marketing outreach
Internal coordination of content for AM Best hosted events, including but not limited to, webinars, briefings, conferences, trainings, and presentations. This would include the creation and review of key marketing materials
Compile, analyze and present feedback on outreach efforts to inform and refine strategy Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Risk Management or related field
Master's Degree or MBA a plus
5 to 10 years' experience, at least part of which in the financial services industry, preferably insurance
Experience in events planning, promotions, media relations Skills
Must be a positive, highly-organized self-started with excellent communication skills and ability to work across many different departments with ease
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Sharepoint
Excellent writing skills, including experience writing press releases
Must be comfortable with multiple cultures throughout the Americas, with an understanding of the nuances of communication necessary both internally and externally
Candidate must have an understanding of the credit ratings business and how it is relevant in the insurance industry
